MBSC Post Mortem!

posted 27 May 2013, 14:34 by Martin Brett
Well done to all the boats who took part in the NSYS/MBSC race on Sat 25th May. For the first time in NSYS/MBSC history, the weather was sailing-perfect with a good breeze, sunny skies and an enjoyable course out as far as White Bay. Eleven (11) boats took part in all, six (6) MBSC and five (5) NSYS. Squadron honours and initial bragging rights go to Drumfire who took the challenge to the MBSC fleet and proved that gentlemanly conduct on the water does actually pay dividends.......! Skybird, Tailte, la Mouette and Mashona also turned out, and some wonderful sailing was experienced by all. It was a great start to the season, and an incentive for all the squadron boats to get going and take part - even just for the fun of it! The post race bbq was a great success, with the Wardroom once again delivering the customary high standards for hungry sailors. Thank you to all the members who helped out on the marina after the race, and to those who took part for leading the way on the water. Check out the calendar for the next events and keep an eye out for details in the notices.
Regards,
Sailing & Events Sec.
